the idea
Let the ball do the running.
SimbOS is not where you write the code, it is where you direct whoever writes it. The agents do the work; you open the fronts, watch all four at once and decide what ships. A quick tweak you can make right there, without leaving the canvas. Spending the afternoon typing code by hand is not the problem it set out to solve.
why a canvas
Tabs are a queue: you only see one thing at a time.
One agent is easy. With three or four running at once, the work becomes managing tabs, and you lose exactly what you needed to see: who is stuck, who finished, who is waiting on an answer.

There is nothing to learn.
There is no project, no workspace, no account, no setup. You open a folder, the way you would in a code editor, and the folder is the context: terminals spawn inside it and the file browser is rooted at it.

A terminal for each agent, a file browser next to it. Drag and resize until it matches how you think.

All of them running in plain sight. Close it and open it again, and that folder's arrangement is right where you left it.

Not an output viewer: a real terminal, GPU-accelerated, that keeps up with an agent spitting out thousands of lines per second.
Files right there
A file browser and viewer with syntax highlighting and rendered markdown, so you can check what the agent touched without leaving the canvas. Quick tweaks you make right there; the rest is its job.
Remembers your layout
The position and size of every card is saved per folder. Nothing is ever written inside your repository.
Confined to the open folder
File reads are restricted to the folder you opened. No path escapes it, not even through a bug, and that is covered by tests.
Nothing leaves the machine
No server, no database, no login. The app does not send your code anywhere.
Updates without interrupting
It downloads the new version in the background and waits. It never restarts on its own, because that would kill the agent sessions running in front of you.

On a Mac, the app is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized, so it opens on a double click, with no "unidentified developer" warning.
On Windows the installer is not signed yet, so SmartScreen warns you the first time: click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
